AvastIt's actually physically painful how dumb that is and yet the admin team wonders why everyone thinks they are down syndrome children.
The player was banned for abusing the !rep system as he reported a player who wasn't breaking any of the rules. It was a short ban.
If you have any suggestions for our ruleset please post on our forums and i'll look into it.
If you have any questions about the ban/appeal process on tf2c feel free to add me/pm me on tftv. (not looking to move this thread into a tf2c rules discussion thread).
I'd appreciate it if you didn't call me a child with down syndrome either, but if that's what gets you through the day, by all means go for it.

I would suggest you don't allow people to offclass more than like 40% of a game
especially engie
especially engie
I didn't know that any rules about the !rep system even existed, I have seen plenty of !rep our bottoms scorers go through just because the person wasn't good.
lol this old argument.
Don't even bother. When I was on board I tried to get them to implement sensible rules/guidelines for dealing with offclassing but I was just shouted down from my position. And it leads to stuff like this where people get banned for !reping someone who's shitting up a lobby.
Dance if you can make a difference hats off to you.

This is far from the worst I've seen but these types of questions just blow my fucking mind.
What are they expecting? You open your fucking mouth and talk like a normal person. There's no special breakfast cereal you can eat that makes words flow out of your mouth like diarrhea. If you're shy, just sack up and deal with it because no one cares.
I see so many of these questions. How do I hit shots as scout? How do I dodge as scout? How do I know whether I should use my shotgun or flares? How do I not drop? All these questions have been on the front page in the last couple of weeks.
I just don't understand how people make these things so complicated. I refuse to believe that someone doesn't know that in order to not drop, you right click before you die. If these were questions with specifics ("I drop a lot when I'm being bombed by a roamer, should I be surfing towards my team or do x, y, or z?") that'd be one thing but none of these questions ever are. They just ask the same exact, incredibly general questions that have each been posted dozens of times. I don't buy that people genuinely want answers to these questions, I would think that if you cared enough to post a question you would care enough to actually search out the information (using the fucking search bar that gives plenty of results), but maybe I'm just a crazy person.

I think the people who ask these questions are the same people that copy a streamer's config because they think it'll make them better

You gotta realize that you on mumble =/= the real life you. Nothing that you say on mumble has any real life repercussions, nor do any of those people know who you are. The internet gives you the gift of (relative) anonymity, so relax, chill, consider mumble an isolated experience. Comm, spam shit, yell, be an autistic toxic retard, do whatever you want. At the end of the day you can just alt+f4 and live your real life. Anonymity is liberating.

It's pretty much a lost cause to promote any kind of "serious discussion" on reddit without having any memes thrown in. The only real subreddit that can accomplish that is /r/askscience, which literally has at least 400 moderators.
