the cubs rule but I just cant believe the ~billy goat curse~ is over
also after the way jacob degrom pitched in game 1 I think the mets have a legitimate shot too, they sometimes lack reliable leadoff hitter types to get on base a lot and their bullpen minus familia can be shaky but their power and rotation are so good

this is gonna sound like the 8th gayest thing ive ever said but I somewhat dig the cardinals because I really like their uniform, both the colors and the classic bird on the bat logo
but they do win enough as it is so it's time to let some young homies get a shot

Hope my Dodgers can pull it off on Thursday. That being said, if the Rangers lose there literally won't be a single team that I don't want to root for as a baseball fan. Lots of hungry teams from cities that haven't won in a while, romantic story-lines. Not sure why I don't include the Rangers in that category but I guess the Mets, Cubs, Royals, and Astros all seem to fit the storyline better.
As for predictions I think it will be the Dodgers v Cubs in the NL with the Cubs advancing to WS while I see it being Blue Jays v Royals in the AL, with the BJs advancing. I could see either team taking it at that point but I gotta go with the cubbies. Hard to predict when there are three Game 5s in the next two days though! Should be great ball regardless.

If there is one team in sports you can never rule out, it's the Toronto Blue Jays, what an incredible job to rally, and the emotion in that team, in that city, in this country is incredible.

the blue jays are good but they still have a tough fight ahead of them. tonight was definitely a big milestone for toronto.

Honestly, compared to the previous years of me watching postseason baseball, the atmospheres of these games cannot be compared to. Cameras shaking, you can sometimes not hear the broadcasters over the fans. Just an amazing thing to watch

What a crazy inning holy shit. I'm dissapointed that umpire initially called the play dead though. Poor Andrus too.

If the Dodgers go out to the Mets, what do you think the chances of Mattingly surviving for another season are? Matt Williams was cut after not making playoffs, I wonder when/if the Dodgers' management is going to decide that just making playoffs isn't enough.

Cubs are gonna destroy the Mets. My preds are cubs taking the series 4-1

Man I really want the cubs to win but if they make it to the WS I'll have to cheer against them in favour of the blue jays.

Well the Jays have never gone to the WS and lost, so useless statistics is on their side

if the mets manage their rotation so that they can get degrom and syndegaard against the weaker pitchers in the cubs rotation I think they can do a lil bit better than that
I think 4-2 or 4-3 cubs, I'll say 4-2 cuz a 4-3 is always so statistically stupid to bet on

I guess that's true, but since it's a seven game series with a break Arrieta will be able to pitch twice most likely, so I def don't see the Mets taking three
