Sorry for the necropost, but I strongly agree with this....
HildrethCan I just point people in the direction of:
http://scrim.tf/
http://scrim.me/
Also it's embarrassing to still see us insisting people use IRC because that has always been the way. It isn't 2008 anymore, let's start using these brilliant websites people are creating that do the exact same purpose but make it easier for everyone. When you're at the top you know everyone anyway, but when you're newer or in the middle tier of this game, it's a lot harder to do and IRC is such an outdated way of doing things.
I notice TF.TV use slack for their organization, and things like Trello. Meanwhile other orgs still use IRC and insist people should change to suit their needs, not the organizations should change to suit their consumers needs!

why do u make bad posts and then complain about -frags
also scrim forums seem like they drive enough people away from irc enough to kill it. as long as you're fine with killing irc (which probably is more efficient than a forum) scrim forums could be good but there are downsides
tf2scrim sites are very well made but i felt like i was filling out a form to schedule an event, as opposed to just messaging someone connect info in irc. definitely not better in every way IMO

As much as I want to see independent scrim sites take off, in a previous post I said that most people are already on tf.tv and (shit)posting anyway, why not throw up a separate forum for scheduling until something better comes along? Maybe the creators of these scrim sites can collaborate with the tftv devs and add a separate module to the website for scrims? Tab at the top? The point of this thread was to push more ideas of making it easier to find scrims, not necessarily push only one idea.

Something like this will be done for tftv

There are so many options and ways to find scrims, but nobody really uses them. I currently noticed that in the TFTV discord is a scrim channel, this could be a more simplified way to replace IRC. If not then a subforum or use of the other sites is good also.

seems like the best way to get scrims right now is to add a person from each team from your division and just message them and schedule scrims the day before
if tftv can throw something together that would require less steps/ or just easier that would be great
