At least the particles and effects seem like less of an unholy clusterfuck than Overwatch.

First impression: Game runs amazingly, plays like I assume overwatch does, and the game balance is so hilariously bad any form of competitive would be a complete joke. I do like what HiRez has done with Smite in terms of balance so I'm guessing it gets fixed soon but I have to wonder how they even thought the current system would be good in any way.
You level up 5 times, each time you get to select a perk from a list of three. The problem is you get these perks from chests and have no way to know which three will show up on the list.

Played a few games yesterday and it runs very smooth. I mostly played Skye and can tell you that she is fucking ridiculous, some cards are just WAY to op. But i guess the balance will happen soon, afterwall its still in beta and hi-rez did a pretty solid balance to Smite.

I thought the first character I tried was super good but I honestly think 90% of the people playing this game are just fucking awful. You can top damage as basically anyone provided you know how to aim and aren't dumb.
Try Grohk too, he's got a massive range LG that's super fun

it plays nothing like OW the closest is something like Global Agenda pvp. Aesthetically its
fucking gross but they'll fix it eventually.

game can be fun if you're not playing vs retards actually
still has to be expanded and refined upon but there's something there
