I think engima's thinking is to make the invite division more publicly mature/accessible.
Instead of having all the drama and roster changes inside a 700 post thread, with players on teams voicing changes, invite is being covered by the articles. So far the articles have been good. Mature, simple explanations on the roster changes make our league look a little bit better

Yeah, I really enjoy the article system this season, they've all been really well written and are right there for people who don't like to sift through 700 posts of invite memes to see the juicy shakeups

although I do miss the invite memes

would be very stupid of esea to do that now, could see it last season but with matchmaking confirmed to be soon they'd be missing tons of potential growth

because the first thought of people who go into matchmaking against all the gay shit tf2 has is 'wow i really want more of this'
