Hello guys, My qck is starting to peel after 2.5 years of use , I am looking for a new mousepad that has braided sides ( besides the razer one ), the games that I play are osu , tf2 and csgo.
thanks in advance

Artisan, Steelseries, Puretrak, Zowie and ADX are all reliable mousepad brands, just as an example.
Pick anything from those brands and you should be good

thanks for the suggestions, I also want to know how a cloth pad compares to a hard pad

Hard pads have so little friction they have almost no control, are expensive, and eat mouse feet.

Well I am currently using mionix sargas 900 along with my FK2 and never been happier. Give it a try, the price is good and the quality too!

I've only ever owned 3 'gaming' mousepads over the course of 6-7 years, out of which two have been hard pads(Roccat Sota and Alumic). The biggest fear I had buying hard pads was that they would "eat mouse feet up like crazy", but that doesn't apply to every hard pad out there. As for control; yes, you lose some control initially, but your hand does get used to it eventually. I've actually come to prefer the minimal friction you get when using a hard pad.
If I had to break it down, what I like about hard pads is the minimal friction, durability and absolute ease of cleaning. On the other hand, the main thing that bothers me is when dust or dirt gets on the mousepad. Of course you can just brush the dirt off with your hand pretty easily, and it doesn't happen more than 2-3 times in an hour, in my experience.

A bit less friction than the QCK and much better quality. All PC gaming race pads have stitched edges.

P-SR/G-SR if your mouse doesn't snag on illustrations (DA 3g, 3.5g do) and you want to pay a premium for supreme flatness.
forgot to add that I'm using a intellimouse, should i go with another qck or go with the zowie one

The zowie is basically just a more durable qck in my opinion

Razer Goliathus / Func Suraface 1030 r2 / Steelseries qck
The best, for me atleast is the Suraface 1030. Its dualsided, has a mouse cord grip, and alot of other things, perfect.

The Puretrak Talent and QCK are the most over recommended mousepads of all time.
Having owned both of these i can't recommend them.
The Talent peeled worse than any other mousepad i have owned and the QCK has extremely high friction.

Neither.
If you liked your QCK go with the PC gaming race pad i linked earlier in the thread. It has a little less friction than the QCK and has stitched edges. The Glorious XL heavy is verry nice.

i've had a qck, then a puretrak talent and now a zowie g tf-x.
The zowie is the newest one by far, there have been no changes for the qck and puretrak (not that i know of to be fair). The Zowie feels like a mix between hard pad and soft cloth, while being gentle on your mousefeet and still fast. It has stitched edges (hooray) and a very grippy base. It feels a tad slower than a fresh puretrak talent, but much more consistent and it feels like it will hold this consistency for a while. In the summer i had problems with the puretrak and sweat (light sweat but still sweat) where it would have loads of friction in some places but little in others.
That's why im staying away from old cloth pads atm, the tf-x doesnt soak up anything and feels great and very well made (no edges fraying out, or any errors in production).
It obviously comes with the price, qck+-heavy is like 20-25€, puretrak talent costs me 25€ and the zowie g-tf x (which is bigger than both by a bit) cost me 35€. i hope it will be worth it, had it for three months now. I guess it will last me much longer than my puretrak (~6 months till it became uncomfy, 1 year till barely unusable).
