I agree with what the two guys before me are getting at, but it could be useful for a surprise kritz play from above. Would that actually work? Maybe if you crouched and sat beside the wall.

Some people do this in even uber situations when you're holding mid and are suiciding one. It is a bit harder to counter-suicide when the med is up top. Some teams, on the other hand, will try soloing when you suicide, so you can bait a really bad uber or make it so they can't really do anything if your med is up top. These things can be accomplished by holding in other places than on top of point though.

I have tried the hold in scrims before - it leaves a lot of room in saw and lower, meaning you can't fully tank anyone. Useful for uber disadv, I guess.

Ask lucrative about the hold, he was the one who told me about it a few seasons ago.
