I'm trying to stream more often, when streaming to twitch using obs, the stream drops a ton of frames. OBS doesn't tell me I'm dropping frames but it's clearly visible when watching the stream. This problem persists no matter what bitrate, resolution, or server I use for my stream.
In TF2, the frame dropping is noticably worse and saves to the vods. Frame drops are still present when playing other games but the vods run at 60 fps.
My upspeed is ~80mbps and I have an i4790k and two 970s so I should in theory be able to stream 1080p 60fps, but the framerate on stream is just garbage.
Are there any OBS settings that would fix this that I'm just missing? Something else I'm doing wrong?

Check cpu and gpu usage/temps while streaming, and try lowering encoding settings in OBS.
For comparison I have to lower tf2 texture quality and encoding to be able to stream 720p 60fps on a 3750k with high OC.

The problem is I can literally stream at 1000kbps and 480p and my framerate of the stream is still really bad. My framerate ingame is still fine though.

That is truly fascinating, but could you check usage and temps anyway?

Good news, I've worked out a way to solve this.
Checked my temps and everything was fine, however one setting I noticed was that my graphics cards were SLIed.
As soon as I stopped them being SLIed, the stream framerate is absolutely fine. Not sure why this affects things but hope this solves the problem for anyone else having it nonetheless.
