What is your streaming resolution? Because that upload is extremely small and probably can barely handle 720p.

Also you should fix your link, as you seem to be linking everything to speedtest (why did you even bother linking it).

don't use dxtory with obs. use the game capture source.

Like browny said though, it's gonna be pretty bad quality. I have 0.4 upload, and can only do about 120 bitrate without it raising my ping. You could try ~250 and see how it is. Again though, it will probably be bad quality.

I have a 1mbps upload at home which I tried using over the winter break and it looks awful. No matter what I did I couldn't make it look good in 720p. That being said, if you're extremely desperate to stream you could do it but its not going to look that good. It will, however, be just barely watchable.

It really depends what game you're streaming though. FPS games need high FPS to look truly watchable. If you streamed basic games or league of legends you could get away with maybe a 20 FPS stream

For streaming 1.5 to 2.0 mbs is desirable but even then 720 might be hard (you'd probably have to do 25fps). I think with 0.92 mbs up you're not going to be able to stream. Sorry mate.

Fzero if it makes you feel better, I use time Warner cable and I was able to upgrade to like 2mbps up for an extra $10/month. You can call them and see what kind of deals they'd have for you.

Sadly, this is the more expensive one. Should be about 4 up, but as they say it's only a estimate. We pay about 110 a month on internet alone since both our jobs need a lot of bandwidth. We should get about 80 down and 5 up for business class, but they have a total monopoly in this area, so were fucked.

My place too. During finals week I couldn't stream cause all the students are at home, but during the rest of the semester it's fine.

Would 3.2 up look pretty good on 720p, with no problems?

Oh yeah it would look great on 45 FPS or you could try pushing 60. I think Lange has about that much upload so you're definitely good.

Not sure if this would help. But when I was talking to other streamers these two things helped me get a stable stream without losing a ton of frames.

2 things:

1) Lower your stream resolution.

Example: My resolution for playing is 1920x1080 (16:9) for most games. However I stream with a resolution of 768x432 (16:9).

2) Lower Buffer rate.

Example: I also have approx 16Mbps down and 1.61Mbps up. So I lowered my buffer rate to around 700kbit. I am sure if people have a much faster upload speed their streams could look really nice without much lag. But If I go up any more, I get horrible lag while playing. I know my stream does not look amazing. But it gets the job done. In the future when I have a reliable job I plan on increasing the upload speed. Until then, I'll just stream what I can.

Btw, sometimes I mess around with the buffer if I feel I get too much lag in game. Do play around with this as you need to.

That's not right, sounds like to me that they're throttling your speeds like as of recent Rogers actually stop throttling and I now get said upload speeds.

Oh ok, thanks for this. While reading the guide, I was under the assumption that your in game resolution had to match your stream res so I had it at 1920.
