Hasassin was caught, and admitted to using cheats on an alt in pubs cause he finds it hilarious.
This could be a similar situation, but unfortunately we will never know as I honestly don't think that VAC will get lifted.

i'm biased because i'm one of remedy's friends, but i really doubt he would play in a pub let alone cheat on a pub

hooliWhat people need to understand is that VAC bans are only triggered when people cheat on VAC secured servers. You could have all cheats known to man on your desktop, you could be hacking into the white house, you could even be cheating on non-vac servers but none of that will trigger a VAC ban.

Give remedy a break, he wasn't cheating and i'm sure as hell he was stressed out by this thread and probably more than one private accusation or conversation since the VAC showed up on his profile. Remedy i'm glad it was false, take it easy for a bit.

Well anyways thanks to the people who helped me out and didnt think i actually hacked and yes i am in fact annoyed that i got fake vac banned that was a full week of having to deal with bs

if yes then you probably left cheat engine running and you were flagged for a ban. luckily cheat engine bans are reversed by valve sometimes.

In the few instances where I've seen people get their VAC bans reversed, it is usually caused by rootkits or other malware infecting system files and modifying processes. You should probably run a few different virus scans to be sure your system is clean.
