Hello everyone, sorry if this isn't posted in the correct section as I'm still fairly new to TFTV.
Back on to the subject, I have been researching along with huge help from people like Setsul with putting together a PC build in the next few months with the new line of AMD cards coming out. I already have parts and such figured out for the most part, and plan on having external 3x3 radiators with water cooling my gpus and cpu. Hardware specs will center around surround high resolution displays. Quad GPUs that is.
What I would like have opinions are on is themes and ideas for creating a custom mod for this PC, such as modded case options, case ideas, color schemes, looks for watercooling, etc. I've looked into both wall mounted PCs and desk cases as well and both offer unique qualities.
Yes this will be a powerhouse build so I would like to make this as visually appealing as possible.
Thanks for any and all comments.

What is your budget and expertise level? Are you confident enough for cutting and welding?

As long as it doesn't involve gold plating then its doable. I'm familiar and capable of rough welding.

You could modernize a old SGI system.
SGI Fuels where sexy AF http://www.sgistuff.net/hardware/systems/images/fuel-front-2300.jpg

Octane 2s are easy to find if you dont mind micro ATX https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwz9dNJzmukQSU1TcXZYM1haclU/view?usp=sharing
Probably wont be able to go with micro ATX due to the fact that I'm using 4 GPUs.

Are you aware of the severe diminishing returns and micro stuttering on 4 GPU setups? IMHO 2 gpus are barely worth it.

Yes, again I'm set on my performance hardware specs, as its more of whats capable.
I'll also be looking for ideas for interesting water cooling loop ideas.

Keep in mind the plastics can be deyellowed with retrobright our dyed with vinyl dye.

Definitely a possibility. Seems to be a potential with space and looks.

the tower mac pro (the generation before the garbage can) could be cool, if there's enough space

ErenJaythe tower mac pro (the generation before the garbage can) could be cool, if there's enough space
Could make it work/fit.
Another idea I had was to wait for Lian Li come out with their height adjustable PC desk case, similar to this.

Definitely would have potential for enough room and all the good stuff like displaying tubing/reservoirs.

At that point you might as well buy a lian li aluminum case and attach a suction cup dildo to it.

I always wanted to find some ridiculous PC case from this video and put modern hardware into it:

except, ofc, I enjoy my sanity. if you look in the channel, the dude tried to fix up the silly barbie computer and it looked like absolute hell to do

Definitely some interesting proposals!
I'm more leaning towards displaying internals so as a lot of these options are still viable, they'd require me to somehow shape / create an acrylic window for it all to be seen.

I got an old alienware case a while back and resprayed it any was gonna water cool it. kept changing my mind on what sort of PC I wanted though, so nothing I start ever gets finished.

Great suggestions thanks guys.
Keep in mind though I will be using multiple GPU cards and will need adequate room for such a setup.
Something else I had in mind but am unsure how to exactly execute it is to have a tf2 style red v blue style where two separate loops one red one blue.

That is most certainly a thing...
Does anyone know how effective it would be to install my radiators on the exterior of my home while having insulated piping running to it? Bare in mind I live in the south where it'll be quite humid during the summer as well as have higher temps.

So another idea I had was to take an old vintage radio, Sizable enough to fit a full atx and a couple gpus, and turn that into a case. I've also seen locally an old coke bottle cooler, full metal, that might look good.
Overall though I'm really considering the radio look and getting tube amps put up for the extra effects. Another option being getting a corsair 540 cube case and adding a wooden box around the outside. I can then get some wooden boards CNC'd into the fancy wood work typically found on old radios.
Still am wanting other suggestions though so offer away!

Are you on any actual modding forums? Would recommend one of those tbh

Bit tech only currently but am unsure if I am allowed to post a thread similar to this one asking for ideas.
Do you have any other forums you'd recommend?

If you've got the time: https://www.pugetsystems.com/submerged.php
I really don't think it gets any cooler than your whole machine submerged in mineral oil.

Only problems with mineral oil is just how damn messy it is.
