This was a really annoying bug to have, and to explain to people who thought it was an issue with a custom HUD, glad to have it fixed!

I recommend mailing the TF Team (http://www.valvesoftware.com/email.php), when you know about issues like that. I emailed them 3 days ago about that bug, eric smith responded the same day, so they are pretty quick IF you email them. They can't fix it if they don't know about it.

Anybody else getting an abandon penalty after every match? I get a message saying something about not being able to connect to like TF matchmaking coordinator or whatever, and my party has to queue with low priority (i.e. don't get to play)

Try to leave as soon as possible when your game is finished. Apparently, when i was still looking at the stats and in the main menu, the leave button changed to abandon. I couldnt do anything else so I risked it by clicking it and got a penalty for I dont know how long.
Just a heads up to avoid this bug, dont stay on the champions circle stats for too long

I got low priority even though I didn't click abandon. Seems to be because the rest of my party qued into a new match while I was still in the stats menu.
Disconnecting from the stats menu and not the main menu seems to be the way to go now.
