Start up mm, have a beta pass (gifted). Doesn't work says failed after 4 retries, get rid of all custom files, restart game, connection failed after 4 retries now the game tells me "a member from your part has been banned until ...." whlist soloqueing. What do I do? MM worked for me before beta passes were given out.
I forgot to get rid of launch options dunno if that affects anything tho
"-windowed -noborder -dxlevel 90 -full -console -novid"

My mm is broken af also. Im kinda terrified to play it tbh, cuz if I play it, it just crashes my game. Im literally deranked all the way to having 0 xp.

You should remove the -dxlevel after launching the game with it once. tf2 stays the same dxlevel after removing it. Always having it in launch options can cause issues with tabbing in and out.
Don't know if that might have something to do with your issue but it's worth a try and should always be done regardless of MM issues or not
Also like Biscuits said, try 95. It's considered the most stable version of dx9 for tf2

I got banned once for some weird reason where even though I had no conflicting files, another person had cause me to be marked (abandoned). Left and rejoined and had received a ban for like 3 minutes, unable to search at all.

Who cares about ranks I'm sure they will be reset for the official release

why do you go from windowed to fullscreen?

Just keep the game launched at dx8, then valve will switch you to the preferred version of dx9 that they want your system to use. It's what I do and it does take a while to join the first match but after that it's fine.
