at top levels literally everyone in every game gems like $50 a day tho so you kind of have to gem to be really good

i mean to answer the op, no. mainly because you can't pay to be directly better than other people. in royale, opening chests that cost upwards of $30 with the *chance* of getting a rare card seems pretty ridiculous imo. at least in clash of clans you can actually get upgrades that make you better/higher leveled
