Plz tell me again why there's no merc system in esea
nykPlz tell me again why there's no merc system in esea
I think it is because in esea you gotta pay to play unlike in etf2l where it's free, so if you'd merc then it means you'd get to play in an esea match for free by mercing (which would be unfair towards people who pay to sub etc). Correct me if I'm wrong though.

bc thats what rostered and paid up subs are for

ESEA should charge $85 for the first 6 roster players and significantly less after that for subs. Would encourage more teams to have subs. Perhaps have a minimum of 3 starting players to discourage roster hijacks.
The subs thing really doesn't apply in this situation though, just stating what I have thought for a long time. Also this game needs LAN again to be legit otherwise I don't see it blowing up for MM.

I understand the paying system, but shouldn't they allow other paid up players to merc? For example, if 20b needed a scout, they would ask b4nny if they could play with slemnish or yomps or something?

It's called backups.
It's called backups.
Then why didn't they use you? Why would you forefit bbecause you're one player down (for a very valid reason) when you have backup?
How do you delay a match for a week and then schedule it last minute for a date one team can't attend? Top tier scheduling.

I thought duwatna was the missing player / person with the emergency, and even with bl4nk, nobody on 20b can play Demoman, and certainly not at the level of duwatna, or what would be needed to let them contest / beat Froyo.
Edit: I'm also insulted by the person who said that bl4nk can play Medic and Soldier. Have you seen this man's meatshots?

20b had planned on playing it until a family emergency came about causing them to not be able to use their main roster. And it seems they chose to forfeit rather than use a sub. Rescheduling against wasn't possible since ESEA has a deadline for the grandfinals which were already delayed
They didn't schedule on a day someone couldn't play but real life got in the way of it

I always see you in threads asking people to repeat what has already been said. Just read the full thread before you ask questions.
20b forfeited the match because of a family emergency and (apparently) were unable to get a sub.

They could also consider reducing or even removing league fees for Invite... ESL Pro League players haven't had to pay league fees since the partnership with ESL was formed. This means that TF2 Invite players now pay the highest league fees in ESEA by far - more than double what CS:GO Premier players pay for a prize pot two-thirds the size (not including travel support to go to LAN as well).

I'm not sure if it makes sense financially for them to get rid of $4,600 of income for something not that profitable in the first place.
