Steelseries are nice but they all seem to wear out pretty fast. I have that exact pad and numerous others.

I have the PCGR XL, it's actually really really good, stitched edges, nice rubber base and it's a good price too. I have no issues with comfort or anything and I have a collection of big mousemats.

I own a tiny version of this for my laptop and its got a nice feel to it, but I'm not sure if razer softpads wear easily when used for gaming

If you end up choosing between Razer Goliathus Control Extended and QcK XXL you should definitely go for the second one. I own both of them and QcK is superior in every aspect (except for design but who the fuck cares about that lol). It feels like RGCE has some sort of unnecessary extra friction compared to QcK. I know it's called "Control" for a reason but come on. Swithcing back to RGCE after QcK would be like switching back to your old 60Hz monitor after playing on 144Hz. But the main reason why I bought QcK is the size of this thing. Goliathus is 294(!!!)x920 and QcK is 400x900.
Having 10.5cm extra width is far better than 20cm extra lenght. Trust me on this one.

I had a Goliathus Control also and even though it was nice to play on it did wear down very quickly, I know it's probably not the best test subject but my cat easily tore into it and there was wear around where my wrist would be.

I use the qck+ and it works just fine on my sens(10 inches). The QCK XXL seems like it's overkill to me, but that depends on your sensitivity.

It is designed for your keyboard to go it for a cleaner look than having a keyboard on your desk with a mousepad next to it. (I can't think of why else someone would need a 3 foot/1 meter mouse pad)

I recently just got a Zowie GS-R to replace my Talent. It's ever so slightly larger and thinner. But boy does it feel like silk on my hands. It's got sewn edges and I'm loving it so far. The consistency across the surface is amazing and if you like it smooth I would recommend it.

I'm looking for a new mouse pad as well. This is what my research has yielded: For cheap + soft mats that are super slippery, your two best options are basically the Puretrak Talent and a variation of the Glorious PC Gaming Race mouse mat. If you're willing to spend up to $35 on a mouse mat, then people will recommend Zowie GTF-X (not sure if this is big enough for you, however).

If you want to spend under $20 for a pad, then - from what I've read - the Glorious Gaming mat is the way to go. The Puretrak Talent is very slippery, but the edges aren't stitched, and apparently the Talent gets dirty very quickly. The Glorious mat has side stitching, and has very good precision (allegedly), and is arguably as slippery as the Talent.

If you're looking at the QCK XXL, then, Glorious PC Gaming Race should have mats that are equivalent in size. If you think you're okay with 18 or 24 inch width, then the XL mat or the TCG playmat (meant for card games but same material as their mouse mats) are the best option. Keep in mind that I'm looking for a mat with great glide. These might not fit what you look for in a pad (you might want more friction). However, a slippery pad definitely makes it easier to side swipe super fast for rocket jumps and 180 deg turns. And you want good tracking on your mat too or your aim will jitter/lag when you swipe too fast. The Glorious PC Gaming Race mat apparently handles all these problems with ease.

I heavily recommend not getting the GTF-X. For being as simple as a mouse pad Zowie really screwed up, at least for me. Tried for weeks to get the thing to stop curling up HEAVILY on the sides with no success and it also slides around all over the place on my desk. First few days I used it it was incredibly fast and after that it got slower and slower and slower until it felt like a completely different pad. Wash it and it's super fast again. The thing has so many problems and is really weird imo.
The 36" Glorious pad is what I use now and it's pretty awesome, although the first week or so it attracts a lot of dust.

goliathus because of its sewn edges. the surface of the speed is v smooth and nice. it's kinda thin tho, so either have a smooth desk or stack it atop a thicker pad

zowie's stitched pads look good too

sounds weird but i use a big piece of cardboard that i cut into a rectangle, about 18" x 24". the surface works surprisingly well with the optical sensor of a mouse, its almost like playing right on your desk but its got a somewhat "fuzzy" feel to it that resembles a cloth pad. best thing is it cost me $0.00 because i had a piece of cardboard to recycle.
