s22 invite is looking really interesting, with froyo black, el classico into invite and a poll for a new team on invite.

likoidk man dflame has proven he can't go past IM why would u want to cheat him into invite
completely agree pie deserves it tho so my heart is broken
[inquisitive barking]
how have I "proven" I can't go past IM, what is that even supposed to mean. I have been practicing my ass off and putting in tons of time to improve (especially within the last 5 months or so)... watching demos, doing pugs, scrims, matches, dm, mge, etc. Just think that's a little rude imo

sorry man didnt mean to be rude, you can always just prove me wrong and make me look like a jackass by kicking ass in IM next season lots of good teams need scouts
DrPloxoRodeo Club the only team that isn't trash
Hmm no this does not seem correct

Why is it a vote to get in? Surely a battle to the death would be more approriate!

I agree. Playoffs like we have in ETF2L are a lot fairer than a vote.

I'll be honest, dog 2 will probably get rolled in invite

Albeit uncharted not as bad as the other 2. People shouldnt vote by fan favourites

You do realize theyve been scrimming each other as well as other invite teams and out of the poll teams theyve done the most convincingly? You probably dont keep up as much so I dont expect you to say yes, but thats what me and im guessing a lot of people based their vote off of
Not gonna lie i do love the guys on the team tho but luc and mausy are also buds, whatever team gets in has some nice potential imo

The Mausy team is probably the best at this moment, but I dont think they will improve very much over the season.
dog2 isnt bad, depending on their work ethic and attitude towards losing, they could surprise people.
Neither team has a chance at top4, which team has a chance of improving as players and playing the season after next?
I would say dog2 is the best option.

The issue with scrims would be that we (Uncharted) have literally had one night of scrims with our final 6 compared to dog2 scrimming with a set roster nightly for weeks now. Of recent scrims we've gone even with cafe monster and beat Crispy's team. Last night's scrims against dog2 might've given a better idea with the head-to-head if not for us missing our main caller/all the crashes. We haven't been scrimming the same teams so it's hard to tell, but I think dog2 certainly has the more promising scrim "resume" if just based on applicable logs.
Both teams are going to finish in the realm of 6-8. I think Uncharted has more potential/higher ceiling than a lot of people think despite having the more "veteran" looking roster, 4/6 have either no invite experience or had their first stint in the division last season. That said, 6/6 of dog2 have no invite experience. Regarding skill ceiling, I figure that's a good thing and both teams have promise.

who's gunna do better in invite the team who's managed to scrim with 6 once despite existing since playoffs were still going or the team who's been scrimming every night

I have always been amazed at how people still don't know to head over to logs.tf as soon as they see these, which has implications

I do think dog2 is overall the best choice tho
breaking it down:
experience together- dog2 prevails
main calling- dog2 is better
rosters:
sureshot and hellbent are SIGNIFICANTLY better than froot and rolling, that's uncharted's biggest advantage
ex and blues are overall better than mu and split
mausy and mae are really close, mausy has the invite experience but mae is improving really quickly and could be better by the end of the season
cookiejake is better than luc
it basically comes down to if you think froot on pocket is enough of a dumpster fire to negate the rest of the stuff in dog2's favor, which I don't

The scrimming once with our "final 6" is literally due to having picked reimu up this weekend. The team as I referenced it has not existed since playoffs whatsoever
Edit: I think dog2 deserve a ton of credit and are just as/more deserving of the spot depending on your opinion. I thought that reflected in my first post

tbh if you think pre season scrims mean anything at all you're delusional
fact of the matter is, uncharted and dog2 both have very good upsides going into the division in there own way. dog2 has a full on new blood roster with very high potential, will be good to see them give it a shot, they are a very explosive team and everyone on the team are beauties.

have you considered that maybe there's a reason that, for like 5 seasons in a row, everyone says "mad lux is gonna be top 3 in IM, probably win it, their roster looks so fat", and then you guys end up being disappointing?
and that everyone I know who has played with you bitches about your 2008-style calling constantly?
I have never met someone better at making teams worse than the sum of their parts

relatively unbiased opinion here
For the health of comp tf2, unknown players should be getting shots to play in invite if thats really what they want.
I've scrimmed against dog2, and with most of the mausy team.
The only player in this group who deserves to be on a strong invite team is mausy.
The only reason the mausy team wouldnt be a 6th place IM team is mausy.
Sureshot and reimu realistically should be on invite teams. I played 3-4 nights of scrims with mausy/sureshot/luc, I still have no idea what sureshot even sounds like. He doesnt speak. He doesnt really provide any direction to the team on pocket, BUT he supports his team really well. Anytime i did anything- sureshot actually helped. Hes a good teammate, though i dont think this team will be a good fit for him. This team needs direction, and they can only really get it from mausy or lucrative.
Lucrative and hellbent are known quantities to me. Not particularly good. Don't know much about reimu.
Split is unproven and in the same boat as dog2 to me, if he wants to tryhard and play invite he should, but not at the cost of SIX players on dog2 losing the opportunity.
From playing against dog2, their scouts help their team, their soldiers coordinate bombs atleast decently well. Their demo has a brain. Seems like they have a lot of potential.
The only reason there would be a debate is because of mausy. I feel like if the team didnt have mausy they would be a 6th place IM team.
just my thoughts tho.

I honestly like both teams and feel whichever one makes it in won't give a bad show. It's a bummer both can't play but just own IM and come back better next season
