I usually play with mat_viewportscale at 0.6, but ever since the christmas update having viewportscale at anything other than 1 makes my screen a big pink blob (this http://i.imgur.com/Phsoi.jpg).
I can't run the at full resolution, and so I'd have to go back to fullscreen + lower res if game this remains broken.
Any fix? Everywhere I've looked says it's broken with no fix.
Alternatively, is there any way to play at a lower resolution and also have windowed mode on?

But then the window ends up being smaller than my screen, which makes the mouse lose focus whenever I flick or do a rocket jump.

As far as I know Chris experimented with the mat_viewportscale values and found none increased performance, try playing with 1 and see if you get reduced performance

noob question but it keeps telling me the window is not found, i play without a border can that be the problem or am i missing something really obvious?
