Would this be any different from comp.tf's wiki besides a boost of our esports authenticity via brand association?

I think itd be really cool. This and faceit could make tf2 bigger. Especially faceit since only 3-4 games are there right now

I would recommend anyone interested to read up the discussion going on the faceit discord, obviously some people have different ideas or opinions but theres also a lot of misinformation going around
I've been there and last year discussed the possible merge of comp.tf with liquipedia head admins but in the end opted not to do it because the positives didn't really outweight the negatives in my pov, there's a lot more variables to take in from this apart from the "brand recognition" that everyone is so eager to talk about.

I don't think comp.tf has done a terrible job but if you haven't joined liquid I don't see why it would be a problem if someone else did.

Liquipedia has indicated interest, but they need a concrete idea of how many people are willing to contribute content. If you're interested, post here or contact me.

I'm still especially curious the pros/cons that Kaneco teased of a merger of comp.tf and Liquipedia.

yes, tf2 is in fact dead.
yes, tf2 is in fact dead.
According to our latest discussions, Liquipedia is busy due to the other alpha wikis they've started, so they've declined to pursue one for TF2 for now. Unfortunate, but there's not much we can do to change that.

georgebaiiWouldn't make sense to make a TF2 site for Liquipedia and put amongst other more popular games like CS and Overwatch. Its better to have one designated site because then it keeps it unique rather than have it bunched up with other different games.
OR lost CS fans can see that there is a super cool and growing competitive TF2 scene with international tournaments every year

1. It's been 3 months.
2. Rocket League is an official Liquipedia now. That leaves Warcraft III and "Fighting Games" as the only Alpha wikis. Considering they previously had three alpha wikis running at once, it wouldn't be a leap to say they can handle a third Alpha wiki.

It amazes me that Wc3 is still played competitively...
