Using +left/+right to aim

I basically stopped playing tf2 for a while and only surfed on CS:S, where I transitioned into a really low sensitivity and began using +left/+right to be as smooth as possible while still being able to turn easily.

Since I've started playing tf2 again, I noticed that I use these two commands while dming too. I was wondering if this is frowned upon or against the rules of any leagues, and if not if anyone else uses these commands in regular gameplay. There seem to be some clear benefits from them, particularly if you use a low sensitivity.

Why would a league stop you from moving left and right to aim? It's perfectly viable and I don't find it annoying at all.

Uhh +left and +right are commands which auto-turn your crosshair at a certain yaw speed, I don't mean +moveleft and +moveright.

It's definitely not frowned upon in the sense that it's "illegal", but I highly doubt you're getting the performance you think you are - the very reason aiming on a PC is much better than aiming on a console is because of the variable turning speed. My question is, how do you fare against scouts, who move faster than a soldier on the ground? What about rocket jumpers?

I can see this method working in CS where everyone is the same height and moves at roughly the same speed, but TF2 is at least three times as fast - do you really DM well with it?

I don't think anyone would care. Honestly, I think you'd probably be limiting your own abilities, but if you can actually pull it off, more power to you.

I definitely don't mean strictly aiming with commands, but as far as horizontal tracking for pistols, smg, etc. it can definitely help. I've also begun using them for rocket jumps to avoid throwing my mouse all over the place.

That wasn't the point of this thread, I'm more than comfortable with my sensitivity, just wanted to see if any others found these commands useful.

I tried doing this last night while surfing it was hilarious.

edit: the 360 version of L4D2 has buttons to turn you exactly 180 degrees which could possibly be useful if you have a low sens
