Keyboards and headsets are pretty replacable if you can find a keyboard with the same switches to borrow and headset with noise cancellation.

It would be worse if it was his mouse or mousemat, because they get your personal wear so replacing them, even with identical stuff, can feel quite different.

I don't understand why could not B4nny take his peripherals with him. Everyone, who has flown more than once, knows that the airport personnel does not treat luggage with care and insides break more often than not. I had to take apartment keys to a workshop once because they got bent.
