Everyone who attends gets 250k, then it's an extra 250k for each map won and a million bonus for winning the competition. The observers and casters all get a golden ticket to the Valve chocolate factory.

To any brits (or possibly Euros) planning to go. Check out Norwegian Air. They do very well priced flights to the West coast from London. They also don't force you to buy a return (i.e. individual flights cost the same, so you can fly in and out of a different airport). Presumably they fly from other countries, considering the name.
The airline only flies on certain days of the week, but booked in advance and it's really cheap. I flew out of LAX for about £410 last month, booked about 6 weeks in advance (and it would have been cheaper if I'd booked it further in advance). It's also a new Dreamliner so it's not even like it's a budget experience.

Yeah flights are crazy cheap. €250 return direct flight from Stockholm right now if any Swedes are planning to go.
Is it going to be played on that stage? http://sahsnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/15726-488d9c11_945_556.jpg

800 Euro flight from Amsterdam :(
That said, if we could get a fundraiser going for some Brits and Swedes I'd be down.
Hype!

WOW air (icelandic company) seem to have considerably cheap flights at appropriate dates, I can find 450EUR for Jan 20-24 (cheapest I could find from Paris to LAX), with a stopover in Iceland.
went to GXL with euro team and lost all our games. Would happily do it again
How would the broacasting be then, on TFTV or does ESA use their own twitch channels for this sort of stuff?

Oh shi you're right. I was looking at 20-23 which was at 700 or so but the 20-24th one is way cheaper.

What are like the nearest/biggest airports btw, if someone could answer
Raptor00XWhat are like the nearest/biggest airports btw, if someone could answer
International flights:
LAX (Los Angeles) is 45-50 minutes away driving (might be able to find an airport shuttle that goes to Anaheim [Disneyland] which is ~10-15 minutes away driving) and uber from there.
SAN (San Diego) is 1.5 hours away driving, but I think there might be an amtrak train that goes from SD to Santa Ana.
for domestic flights:
LGB (Long Beach) is 30 minutes away driving and is a small, pleasant airport to fly in/out of quickly (I live here).
SNA (John Wayne Airport - Santa Ana/Costa Mesa) is 10 min away driving. Mid-sized airport, but closest to the area.
Public transportation is shit here and everything is spread out. Don't expect to get much use out of buses. Trains are almost nonexistant. Getting from LAX to Santa Ana without a car or friend will be difficult/expensive, so carpool.

Check out Ontario airport as well. It's a branch of LAX and does international flights and it's only about 30 miles from the venue
Even if SNA etc are closer than LAX you spend more time changing flights than it takes to drive the 45 miles. E.g. to LAX is an 11 hour direct flight from Heathrow, SNA is a 15 hour flight with a change.
I was thinking about heading out to LA to visit some friends soon so maybe I'll kill 2 birds with 1 stone for this LAN. Is this place BYOC only or do they offer rentals?
