hey y'all, this is my current med config as it stands right now:
medic.cfg
on top of general feedback I was wondering if there was any way to make my uber used bind only go off when uber is charged? I've tried doing that here but it isn't working. At the very least how can it not trigger when I'm dead as medic? I have a nervous habit of clicking my mouse buttons while I'm dead, causing me to spam "uber used" of course I can just stop doing that but I like the clicky ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
forgive me if this isn't the right place

Not the one I know and I doubt its possible
If you have that habit why don't you press m1 and not m2?

You could have a bind that says that you have uber
you could also not press the mouse buttons when you're dead, either way I dont see how it's really an issue. Surely your team knows you're dead so the bind wouldn't excite them?
Don't know which specific voice menu commands you did but the purpose of masking is not generally "to be a noisy bitch, " but rather to say whichever voice command is quietest so as to not alert the enemy team of your position or uber (spamming medic is one of the loudest voice commands in the game so that one is a little silly to use)
bear, you're right but I think using the "medic!" command to mask uber can actually be a good idea if youre someone who habitually mashes their E button. ive been watching a lot of hunter x hunter lately so im like an expert on mindgames now.

I actually use "voicemenu 2 4" to mask my ubers since they are such a quiet voice lines from the medic. These are some examples.

He has right click swap to medigun as well so the bind would go off then too.

I usually just spam a bunch of bind so whatever one I use to mask doesn't stand out, i had forgotten I'd labelled it that tho q.q I usually mask with neg (voice 2 5), bound to r or pos (voice 2 4) cuz they're so quiet. But I like to spam that one and the others in hopes they won't know which one is the mask if they're close by just clicking whatever's close to my wasd keys. I don't usually mask with "medic" but i do like to have it bound and it's bound to something else on other configs.

it's true, I was just hoping that wasn't the case. just an anxious habit to click through the spec! But I'll probably just end up using m1 from now on after a little adjustment period.

You could add a "radar" to your medic config. Here's from my cfg.
hud_medicautocallers "1" // enable teammate 'medic!' auto-call.
alias "radar_off" "hud_medicautocallersthreshold 50"
alias "radar_on" "hud_medicautocallersthreshold 150"
alias "+radar_toggle" "radar_on"
alias "-radar_toggle" "radar_off"
bind "z" "+radar_toggle"
Pressing the Z key temporarily raises the threshold. Nearby teammates auto-call and you see'll health crosses on your HUD regardless of their current health. Aka medic wall hack.
