i have adblock disabled on tf.tv and i just got one of those popups that says your pc is going to die and it doesn't let you close it, thought you might want to get rid of that

Use task manager
You shouldn't have to worry about needing to scan for malware cause those are almost always scams but if you're that paranoid run RogueKiller and TDSSKiller. Should take 30-45 minutes at most and those programs are USB portal so you can take them with you anywhere and not need to worry about installing them.

This kind of crap happens a fair amount of the time, the companies that package the ads which are sold to sites don't always filter out the total bullshit.
