I already know of Flame's HUD guide, but that's fairly outdated.

Are there a newer/other resources? No doubt I'll have to resort to trial and error at some point, but any help would be useful.

Why not just fiddle with another hud??
Just look at the files and you'll figure out what they do

Just do this, I tried making my own and I ended up using omphud anyway.
