There really needs to be an hour limit. I'm tired of losing 4v6 with players who just installed the game for points after seeing TF2 on the faceit menu.

There are a lot of people queueing on faceit, I don't see why we can't separate the newest players from the more experienced make two ladders, one that has an 1000 hour limit and one that has no limit. And the experienced players can queue up in any ladder if they wish but the inexperienced have to play the ladder with no limit

please i would love it if we could be allowed to kick people, I just played in a faceit match with a full time (probably trolling) huntsman sniper. Perma-offclass is just cancer -__-

If you want a separate queue in FACEIT, you can get one. If you have a premium/supporter account and get into a premium league, you can queue exclusively within that premium league and match up with people queuing in that premium league.

Hopefully you guys made reference to some of the competitive training material and suggested that new folks familiarize themselves with the flow, etc, of competitive before playing. It'd suck to have more folks asking what class is best...

idk man people threatening to sub out new players who aren't trolling are really some of the most cancerous things anyway. Mixchamp and pugchamp are a bit lesser known, but I feel like faceit is super accessible and feels more legit; it just feels better for newer players. those people can always be redirected to tf2c but that place is pretty cancerous for newbies too.

definitely in favor of a rep system of some sort but not a fan of the idea of repping newbies for being new

Yo anybody else getting matches that are incredibly one sided and complete rolls? I thought there was an update earlier on that was an alleged huge improvement to game balance...

Its because a lot of the new people dont have the right elo so the game balance is going to be pretty random. After everyone has played a few games the balance should be a lot better.

I want to admit that we (me / b4nny) did overlook pointing them to resources that can get them more accustomed to comp, so I want to apologize for that. I'd appreciate if you guys could help point them to the correct places!!

as for unbalanced games, since every new player starts at 1k elo that seems to be the reason for the imbalances, because their starting elo is an overestimation of their skill. there isn't really anything the system can do to accurate guess a new player's skill so it's just an unavoidable situation where we just have to wait a bit and let the system sort them all out.

Do they really use Elo? Surely they use a Bayesian system

idk what their exact system is, but i know that at least new players used to start at 1k elo and then they get bumped up and down as they win and lose. i saw this when i had the free month of premium and you could check people's elo.

It's a joke, chill. Just saying most of those new players come from the b4nny video and don't know anything about 6s, or even TF2.

my games were mostly balanced (a good portion of them went into golden cap, too, which was a lot of fun) about a week ago when i played last, but the games i played yesterday were noticeably balanced worse

I request that before getting in the queue for their first faceit game, a physical inspection is done to make sure that every new player has arms
