may be offtopic but some several months ago i got an email from seemingly battle.net which told me to confirm my account or some shit (dont remember but it almost looked legit) and the link lead to a perfect copy of that website but titled batttle.net or something similar
so it was designed to fish your login and password and steal your account
im just saying dont impulsively jump with joy at such emails and check and doublecheck every step you make

Make sure it doesn't ask you to enter in your account details or ask you to download an .exe file. I doubt it's legitimate, but if it is I'd assume you would be able to download the game straight through the battle.net client without having to jump through too many hoops.
exactly what i thought so i didnt even touched the email, went to battle.net downloaded the game and boom its working
i´ve seen some posts on blizzard forums of some people that got the gift a while back
the sad part is that my gpu is so shitty it cant even hadle the game in a decent way

Wow that's actually pretty cool of them for giving out free copies of their game. I bought the game last year after playing the beta figuring it would be more fun after playing it more. Haven't played it in months though cause that didn't happen. I still have more fun with tf2 at the moment.
I wonder what's Blizzard's game plan on that one. Marketing, brand image?
I did buy the game because I actually enjoyed it a lot during beta, but then that enjoyment faded a bit and the game started crashing my GPU all the time. It doesn't keep me glued to the screen in the same way as tf2.

Apparently a few days people started being gifted SC2:WoL for free also and that it might go free2play or something. Wonder if this is also related to it.

I'm quite convinced blizzard is just really cool.
