One thing people here looking to Buddy could do is take a more active role in trying to find new players. One idea I have got is to start hosting New Player mixes, I am trying to quickly organise one tonight from Reddit to happen in ETF2L Discord, but I don't know how successful this will be in achieving its aim.

Sounds good, might pop in to help. I do have a Discord for the Icebreaker Cups that were unfortunately not popular to take off, but there's a fair amount of players on there so if you want to take that and make it specially for Newbie Mixes that would be fine.

While people offering mentoring/buddy is good, a lot of the teams will need help from a team leading side. Finding scrims, trialing people, getting servers. The basics so if you do want to buddy try create a team as for a lot of new players both getting into comp tf2 and team leading at the same time is daunting.
