Hi, I'm currently a pocket on an open team, and I feel like at the moment my DM is the weakest part of my skillset. I'd like a buddy who wouldn't mind practicing MGE and DM a lot (with the rest of my team, too, when they're around). I would also kill to have someone knowledgeable about 1v1 matchups (doesn't even have to be just Soldier, either), especially on different maps. I learn very fast, especially if I have some direction on what to do.
In short, looking for:
* DM partner (does not have to be soldier main)!
* Likes being asked a LOT of questions! Talking extensively on analysis is a PLUS!
* Free during the nights and weekends, at least some/a couple of those days (I have a standard work schedule in the west coast; I usually return around 6-7 PM on weekdays). Flexible!
* Hanging out!
* Anything more than this is fantastic, but definitely not necessary.

Literally one of the coolest people I've played TF2 with. Definitely could benefit from a regular Soldier DM buddy.

IMO you are better off with DM servers. MGE is all "jump up, shoot down, don't miss". It's good for working on your aim, but it does nothing to help you with game sense, plus it teaches you bad habits. DM isn't perfect either (there is no substitute for actually playing a scrim/match) but DM is more realistic since you are dealing with multiple enemies at the same time. If I were you I would spend more time on DM servers.

You could be getting better at TF2 instead of arguing about how to get better in a thread made by someone who wants to get better.

if you play dm and mge as soldier, stay on the ground and try to hit every shot. glhf

Yeah, I'm definitely on that track. Slowly transitioning from training to training while trying to maintain scrims.

Simple, yet so solid. Love it.

I think until a certain point DM helps quite a bit; I'm still shaky on certain fundamentals.
