holy shit the third episode was intense. i was not expecting jack to kill 5 of the 6 remaining daughters like that, but i really liked the flashback to young jack seeing his father killing humans, which gave him the strength to do so. whats also interesting is that theres no way jack dies from the fall at the end, so it's also unlikely the last daughter who was yelling at jack when she fell died as well, and she's the one who we've been eluded to having a different personality from the rest of the daughters (in ep1 shes the one who ran off into the shadows to look at the outside world, she's also the one who took watch during the episode. i'm really hoping that they continue to develop her character, she already has a really great concept. honestly a really well made episode.

it was very unclear if the last 3 actually died, they couldnt kill jack just by that fall, so logic means that the 3 other daughters survived the fall as well. but i don't know its only speculation. totally hyped for the other episodes to see what happens

The scene when Jack was talking to his self conscience, and the wolf and jack were covered in blood and staring at each other gave me chills, I've never been so hyped to watch a cartoon series before

holy FUCK the forest fight scene was intense, i really like how the had jack recite the speech his father made as he was a child, really affirmed the fact that he's moved past the death of the first daughter and realizes that his destiny is to destroy aku at all costs
i guess the whole last scene with the unique daughter's dialouge with jack may setup an alliance storyline but we'll have to wait and see
also the tie in with the wolf was really well done

im kinda hoping we get context for jacks claim that giant creatures like that were aku's creation as well, because i thought aku just made big ol machines. maybe jack's just romanticizing the past? 50+ years is a long time

the art and design style of the inside of the monster was incredible, they really worked hard to turn it into a whole other world

That line felt really out of place for both the character and the series. I felt like it was only tossed into the script because *gasp* taboo words on network television

I can totally understand where you're coming from, but I really thought it was hilarious in a form similar to shock humor. It's because you'd never expect something like that from Samurai Jack, and it will be one of those "legendary lines" that makes this season special.
It's easy for the show to get corny over time--especially with some of the themes centered around Ashi. Scaramouche is like a crude breath of hilarity that keeps the show "alive" or "fresh" in a sense. Sure, it sways away from the old formula, but I dunno dick jokes lol

more of the High Priestess? Like, I felt like she got offed really quickly and her potential for becoming Super Big Bad was there, but because of how she was parallel to Jack's struggle with his Inner Rage and how Jack defeated his Inner Rage for balance, I feel like her death might be absolute since Ashi is meant to mirror Jack's own struggles.
Does anybody else want to see [spoiler]more of the High Priestess? The last episode was kinda of a let down imo, Too much of jack just walking in the scenery and making tea really, fucking... slooooow. It made the battle with ashi and her mother really fucking fast which was a major let down seeming that the mother was a crucial character. I think this is the final season yes, they made this season purely to wrap up the story instead of leaving it open ended
If I had to guess how it's going to end: Jack won't get back to the past but stay in the present with Ashi, since she probably gets "erased" if he undoes everything, I think it's going to be some bittersweet ending about how they 'can't change the past' but could improve the future starting from now that Aku is gone
but this show always surprises me and something like this also seems way too cliche/predictable so I'm excited for what the final 3 episodes will bring
also I was raging hard when they "killed" the scotsman
