ANYONE?
i like their first album, Bleach:
the songs are short yet catchy and very energetic;
lyrics are nonsensical but pretty funny and id take them over any of that pretentious crap off of their latter projects without a doubt;
i can name almost every song from Bleach but i dont remember anything from Nevermind except first 4 tracks and Something in the Way: while Bleach sounds the same overall and songs on their own are very repetitive, they are still very distinctive and memorable;
and In Utero, while having a couple of great songs, is incredibly depressing and sad album and i am not not too big of a Kurt Cobain fan to be as connected to his unfortunate fate and therefore the mood of this album (not that its not very grave but still)

Nirvana has always been one of my favorite bands but never my favorite. You enjoy it in middle school, hate it in high school because you think it's angsty teenager music and that you're definitely not one of those, then you enjoy it again when you're an adult.
In Utero > MTV Unplugged > Live at Reading > Nevermind > Bleach > Incesticide
But even their weakest is good
