the problem some people don't get here is the things that people have said or done that make people hesitant to just accept trans people. I personally don't care what you identify as, as long as you aren't crazy

Quite a few radical people have made a bad name for trans people like trying to pass ridiculous laws, and being really aggressive towards people who just simply don't agree with their point of views, etc... For them to be happy, you have to see their views 100% of the time. Hell people have even manipulated systems just by using their identified gender.

I can understand the annoyance. But I personally don't see anything really affecting trans people with this bill passing. However I might be ignorant to some situations or confused on what this bill exactly does.

it basically means that you are able to discriminate against people based on their gender identity in ways that you could not discriminate against someone of that sex (in states that dont have laws protecting people based on gender identity)

ex:
in a state having no protection against discrimination based on gender identity
not giving a job to someone on the sole basis that they are a transgender female is allowed
BUT
not giving a job to someone on the sole basis that they are a biologically female is not-allowed

this is a problem exclusively for male to female transgender people because female to male transgender people are still protected by discrimination based on sex

another case where MRAs are correct that the male sex needs protection against discrimination

so in short yeah it theoretically could (and probably will) affect some transgender people
