I've tried for the past 2 hours and hunted through files to find a reason to why my interp_ratio changes for apparently no reason or I'm an idiot
I want it at 0 but no matter what I do it changes to 1. I've spammed cl_interp_ratio 0 in all my config folders, on all classes configs, changed it in the gfx config and It still changes to 1. Please help, its more about the fact that i cant find the reason it changes over the fact its 1 not 0.

My whole custom folder is here.
Edit: If i go spectator, change the cl_interp_ratio to 0 and then join a class it goes back to 1 even though in class cfgs its set to 0.

is there a config in your tf/cfg folder that sets it to 1?

Im pretty sure most servers dont let you have cl_interp_ratio 0, I know that the soap DM and MGE servers let you have above 1.

0 and 1 are equivalent if your goal is the lowest possible interp. if you set cl_interp 0 and cl_interp_ratio 0 you're leaving it up to the server to set the values which usually ends up giving you 0.0152 interp. I can't find the link but its the math is cl_interp_ratio / cl_interp.
EDIT: No it's max{cl_interp , cl_interp_ratio / cl_updaterate}

So it being 1 or 0 makes no difference? I should set soldier to 0.0152 and scout 0.033 with ratio of 1?

ShooshSo it being 1 or 0 makes no difference?
It chooses the largest value of cl_interp and cl_interp_ratio / cl_updaterate so it can make a difference.
ShooshI should set soldier to 0.0152 and scout 0.033 with ratio of 1?
There are so many threads about how to chose interp I don't think we need another one, some advice: pick the same interp for all classes and use the interp ratio part of the formula to actually chose your interp and use the cl_interp part just to bound it.
Shooshscout 0.033
2/66 = 0.0303030....
edit: i dun goofed

You are being limited by server's sv_client_min_interp_ratio probably.
