Apart from stuttering and slurring, as well as using some phrases twice or three times in a row, does anybody have any feedback for me, I'm really enjoying it at the moment but I'm not quite sure how people are reacting, feel free to say anything ;D

In lowpander vs bazookasports you were both talking about things in the past while something was happening quite often. I found that too bad bc when this happens you just mention what went on (like a sac or something) but it took away the hype a bit for me. I did enjoy the cast though

I dont know if it was my headphones but i think ur mic knows to get a little fucked up, so id suggest maybe investing in a better mic (if this wasnt on my end which it might be, but it happened only when u were talking so idk) other than that id say ur really solid :D

Enjoyable casting, you have very good play by play casting, I really enjoyed the insight you had into the teams, it really helped the cast. Only thing I'd personally say is that you took away from Beater because you talked a lot. In a cast it's great having someone take the lead but it is better if you have both speaking somewhat equally. This might just be me.
Great casting overall, would really enjoy to see you cast with someone like nuze who is very analytical.
Keep up the good work :)

Just rewatched it and yeah apart from a bit of slurring of words it was super enjoyable and already you're up to the standard of most of the other casters. Keep it up!

I thought you did well for the most part but during the pregame I got kinda triggered because you said "you know" like a million times. Granted, if it's your first time casting it's understandable being nervous and not knowing what to say but imo you could just take your time and talk more slowly instead of trying to keep talking and fill the space.

dunno why bearodactyl is being downvoted for this, I didn't watch the game but its genuine advice!
Whenever I find myself talking and not knowing how to articulate what I'm saying I just slow down the pace of my voice until I can properly think it through, and then more often than not I still dribble out nonsense anyway but still, sound advice none the less.

Also I enjoyed casting with you Dolly! You have a nack for it and if you properly work at it I think you can definitely be an outstanding caster. When I was starting out I did practice casts every day for a month (obviously might not be feasible if you don't have the time) but it definitely helped me out massively as well reviewing my casts after ever official game, which is something that you should never stop doing if you want to be the best you possibly can be.

The biggest tip I can give for getting through pre-game, because you never really know how long it could last so it's pointless to plan a LOT of material in advance because the game may just start out of the blue on you if your teams are on the ball. So the best thing to do is like 15-20 minutes before you go live, have a look at the teams and try to construct a narrative you're going to pitch for the pre-game. You can drop it the second the match starts if it's not convenient or you could hark back to it as the match progresses if things play out that way. Here are a few examples of simple things:

x team has a poor record... so they really need to win this game, talk about factors that may or may not contribute to this much needed victory. If you're still not live, bring up reasons why the other team wont let that happen and how they're going to dominate poor sad team x.

Y. team is super duper good and always has been. Just look at them! Tonight is the night to see some real dominant tf2 the way it's meant to be played. That way you've set the audience up for a REALLY great surprise if team Y crumbles and loses.

Y team is super duper good, but you had better watch out because team Z is a hungry rival this may be the best match of the season.

A and B teams are struggling this season so either could really use a win then see example one for how to proceed.

etc etc. You may not have to use it at all, but if you're at a loss for what to talk about those are some great fall backs that can help pass the time until everybody gets their computers and connections sorted.

If you're *still* not live talk about the map. Its history, things people like to do on it, EU gimmicks you've witnessed.

If you're STILL not live talk about whatever games you've been playing or shows you've watched. I've only had to do this twice in my whole career but it's good to know when to pull the trigger on it lol.

So, that template above should kind of set you on your road instead of having to think of something real quick like and having to pause or stutter. On the bright side, most post-production viewers don't bother watching the pre-game so people won't usually know! :D

Marxist literally has dozens of work stories he shares pre-cast and I've only heard him start to reference them in the pre-game stream as a last resort
