Yeah I mean my only point was that there has been no fundraiser, and that's not some top-secret thing. If there was a fundraiser, people would have seen and heard about it.
Marm tried hard to get a sponsor who could spot the money up front for the plane tickets/hotel for his team, since they didn't all have the money/credit cards/whatever to buy them up front themselves. Once he found a sponsor, they would do the fundraiser here and wherever and pay back the sponsor money from the fundraiser. Even though he busted his ass super hard doing the legwork, I'm guessing no sponsor showed enough interest and it kinda just died. Pretty unfortunate.
