Edit: also I realized that quakecon is the weekend before I start my fall classes so I might consider going. My only problem is that it's a 3 hour drive from where I live to where the convention is being held

I love Texas and haven't been to a gaming convention yet but the travel and the timing of it is awful for me

I have a large group going that plans to pug and play other games on lan, you can feel free to hang out if you do end up going. Plus I'm sure others are going.

If you can go I would really consider it because from what it sounds like, QCon is gonna be HUGE this year

I think Carnage Johnson goes every year since he lives in Dallas if I recall correctly. You can find him usually at the bar but its a different hotel this year. If you do find him get him to sign a meatsgot on your chest 8)
