The problem is, I don't know the open teams/players well enough any more to know which matches will be good, so I'm asking the community which games they want to see covered, and which games they think will be close. I'd say Playfround Tactics vs Space Helicopter and Blanc vs Coon Platoon both have a chance at being really competitive games. At the very least more of a chance than some others.

We had a really really close game until they unpaused for 5v6 and got 3 well deserved rounds.
Really fun way to end the season. I forgot everyone playing open was here for the money. Honestly, was really gross. Good luck whoever plays against 6Hot .

after 5 minutes paused, we said we were going to unpause it as per ESEA rules. Most of the people on our team had work early in the morning tomorrow and so it was decided that we didn't want to play longer than possible and so we unpaused after a warning.

After like 3 or 4 minutes, the other team told me we had 5 minutes until they were going to force unpause, which I found a little scummy. Then, 20 seconds later, they said they were unpausing, while we still had 5 and had made no effort to get a sub because we assumed we had time.
When we played them 6v6 the score was 3-2 for us

I'm sorry, the 5 minute time limit was a communication error on my part. I had thought my team was saying we were giving them 5 minutes from that point and not the time of the pause. I am sorry for causing such a fluster there.

Thanks for your support Shylo. Honestly the most annoying part of it all was how good of a match it was until that point. My last ESEA match too. Really unfortunate way to end my TF2 "career".

"When my internet died during our push, the panic set in as I kept trying to restart my internet. I was frantically texting my team in the groupchat, while calling my ISP, trying to figure what the problem was. The hardest moment for me was when I get the text from my pocket telling me they get forced to play without me. By the time I come back in, almost 3 rounds were already lost. I can't explain how guilty I feel for everyone on my team that tried so hard leading up to this, only to be shut out when we were trying our hardest."

in-case you're new to esea playoffs, it's a BEST OF THREE MAPS, aka you play THREE WHOLE MAPS
considering there's a sizable amount of time between maps so the server can rotate through the three, not even counting time between halves, the maximum possible time it could take to play the match could be at least 3 hours, since there's two 30 minutes halves between maps
why in god's name would you start a best of three knowing full well you had to go early or risk losing all your sleep
