INSIGHT is a project I have been developing by myself for over 2 years. I have finally launched the project on Kickstarter, hoping to receive funding in order to turn the game from a prototype into a commercial standard project.

Diabotical got $215k USD on kickstarter and Reflex Arena got $64,500, it's not unheardof by any means.

Diabotical had a pretty significant name behind it, that being 2GD. That's bound to bring interest in.
This is probably a great game and all, but honestly, after seeing a BUNCH of arena shooters do this same thing and fail, I doubt this will be any different.
There doesn't seem to be a good market for arena shooters, and the one that there is, is already really divided.

Some from column A some from column B. I thought this would be interesting to other TF players, especially the more casual game modes, which have a more fast paced / fun vibe than duels.

To my knowledge it is still in development. They had a (very) successful Kickstarter recently and I think they're still on track with their targets.

Perhaps not. It is my first crowdfunding attempt and I am doing the promotion by myself, so it will be a struggle to say the least. However, I have seen other similar games do well which target a more niche audience than this. I also get a good conversion rate (number of views to signups/backing/following etc), so I think it will mostly come down to getting it infront of enough people. I'm hoping to get coverage by some larger blogs, and I think the idea is unique enough to be worthy of that.

I don't think arena FPS styled games are having a lot of success nowadays (unfortunately). This one seems like a more complicated version of one to me. But nonetheless good luck to you with your project.

As cool as the game looks IMHO it will probably be DOA like every other kickstarter arena FPS.
The genre is simply to niche these days.

If you want the most success, I highly suggest porting this game to the PS4, and reaching out to Sony to try and get it included in their PS Plus offering. That's what Rocket League did, and look at how it turned out for them.
I'll send a tweet out for your kickstarter, and also promote it a bit on Facebook. (3k follows, 10k likes)
It won't be much, but I'll help however I can.

After hearing about the planned support for mods in Diabotical if this doesn't pan out as well as you hope you could still try to put the concept into life in diabotical. Just a thought, I really hope this does get funded
