if we can get more open teams looks like IM will make its return! hype! Newbie mix team drive inc?
i don't really know how newbie mix worked but if players are to afraid to make teams for open ill gladly find players of the same level to play together and help a player find scrims and show them how to lead a team. Please if anyone is interested add me, don't let open be the division lacking teams!
Speaking of s26 shouldn't we have some happenings threads going by now?

The issue with a newbie mix drive is it means that the people in charge of it have to deal with getting mentors, providing funding, doing background checks (to make people of similar skill level be on a team and make sure no-one is alt-ing or sandbagging) dealing with issues within teams (such as mentors leaving, players leaving, players not liking each other, players not liking their mentor, teams dying, etc.) and this group of people has to do all of these things for every team done in the drive throughout the entire season. This results in like 100+ hours of pure headache and is something allot of us at newbie mixes didn't have a ton of time for to do this season not to mention didn't really want to spend their thanksgiving break working on some newbie mix team that died because they didn't like their pocket. As much as the newbie mix drive is great for making new teams it takes A ton of work and im surprised kevinispwn did as much as he did without exploding.
edit: i hear everyone throwing around the newbie mix drive as if its some small thing that can be done every season. Its a big project that takes time and without allot of trustworthy people to do it or people who have enough time and are broderline insane(or have enough alchohol) to do it alone. Its wayyy too late to start a newbiemix drive.
I will say however that if you want to contact some UGC teams and convince them to come to esea we can probably work out some sort of mentors for them.

to all the ugc players afraid of making the jump to open because you don't want to pay $10 to get rolled: you will learn INFINITELY more about the game and improve faster playing open and getting a mentor/team mentor than playing gold/plat ugc 6s and rolling all the non-sandbag teams
if a ugc team who really wants to play open and stick together can only get 4-5 of their players paid up, i'll help you get your last player or two paid up

i played my first season of 6s last season in ESEA and i improved way faster than any ugc players i kno
I'm willing to help pay up new open players as well
I can't help financially, but if a team is on the edge of deciding to play open, or go to IM, I'll do demo reviews when I'm free. I'm obviously more helpful with scout specific things but can help whole teams if needed

At least 15 more. There are currently 15 rosters entered into ESEA open, I haven't checked any of them to see if they are maybe new IM-ready teams that will get moved up. Assuming not everyone has made a roster yet, that's still a fuckload of teams that we need.
The thing is there actually are enough players in ESEA to make that many teams, even without any newbie initiatives. There just aren't enough leaders. I got added by enough people to make two or three whole rosters since I put up my LFP three days ago.

i'd like to play in open if someone wants an eu scout and does not mind +100 ping (can play in na time)
theres literally so many fucking lft players making a team isnt that hard
fluftheres literally so many fucking lft players making a team isnt that hard
It's not too easy though, like I just tried to make a team and it fell apart with scheduling, players leaving, and just simply being new to making a team.

Me and Mute have made a team. https://play.esea.net/teams/8699788
The Evil remake will play IM if it is a thing and we are allowed
Just as a heads up to any IM team leaders-
MAKE SURE TO TELL TRI YOUR TEAM WILL PLAY IM. He has a list and isn't psychic, so make sure he knows!
