why bother with a deadline when they make the decision before it happens?
16 teams paid up though, which I'm pretty sure is the number ESEA has to look at. Empty rosters don't mean anything, paid players do.
Let's get all these open teams paid up; the best thing at this point we can do is get as many teams paid up and hope.
Also, there's a good number of teams that have 5 players paid up but the team isn't showing up as paid up.

yeah we have 5 paid now and dont show up as all paid
Would anyone need a sponsor by any chance?

If we can show with a lot of teams and keep them relatively alive, then tri might be able to make a case for IM, and possibly LANs, but that's hopeful at best.

jetzzzzzI count 52 open teams? Is that enough?
It's not about the amount of teams; it's about the amount of teams paid up.

if all teams pay up on time (including the standard extension) then there should be IM right?
Also, what's the deal with 3 conferences??? Right now east and west teams basically get a free ride to playoffs. What gives? Season before last, Central Conference teams were given a much easier ride to playoffs, resulting in teams like High Altitude and GrapeSquad getting fucked over in playoffs, whlle worse teams advanced. Can we just do one conference?

It is early, right now they have only closed registration. By tomorrow the partially paid teams will be removed and all that. They sent out PMs on ESEA about the process - first time I've seen those in the last 5 years (at least for the start of a season). Conferences are not merged yet. Check the league status thread on ESEA.

this is why we need some millionaire to have an unhealthy interest in sponsoring open teams

The reason I think what tri said was that there isn't enough central servers to accommodate all the teams. So they split it up so people can still have decent servers. Now I'm not 100% on that though ask tri if your interested.

availability of servers isn't the issue, it's that with conferences there are teams that have zero chance to play eachother during the regular season
