Every option for enabling community in-game is ticked properly on steam but if I try to access the store from TF2 it tells me that I need to enable community in-game.
I've checked launch options, restarted steam, and am now validating. Is there something stupid I'm overlooking here or is this just going to be a pain in my ass for some time to come.

try turning off anything that hooks into ur video games. streaming programs + mumble
see if it works in dota with or without -nod3d9ex and maybe play with -directx level in tf2 if that makes a difference

Watching some streams from a while ago and apparently if you have mumble overlay on, it can mess with your in-game steam community. I don't know if they've fixed this, but worth a shot.
