been looking for a decent budget gaming mouse, I've seen mostly positive reviews for this mouse, anyone else have any experience with it?

To me anything over 2000 DPI is overkill.
I play at 1600 DPI w/ my mx518 and G400, don't see why it not being amazing matters when it works well enough (double the DPI of a standard non-gaming mouse).

Did you feel you got your money out of that? It does seem too good for the price, and I figured it would start to break down after a few months.
Would you every buy another one?

i dont own one but i have to say, that shit looks badass and its cheap. just make sure its comfy and fits your hand is the most important thing i think. if you like the fit, the difference from dpi and whatnot anyone can adjust and get used to.

It really does have a flair ^^,
I'm more concerned about the mechanics

I'm confused by the sentence a little, but I think the people who want more DPI would buy a different mouse in the first place. Most people in this community don't care about getting super high DPI, as it's really not necessary. 1600 is just the right amount for a minimum DPI imo, considering it's double the DPI of a standard optical mouse (4x the shitty 400dpi mouses). The only thing arguably better is that you don't have to mess with window sensitivity with a larger DPI range, but TF2 has rawinput anyways so it doesn't matter as much.

I don't like seeing threads about mice and DPI constantly because the degree of misconception is incredible. DPI is nothing but a stupid marketing gimmick for mice. There is no need for ultra high DPI. It doesn't matter whether your mouse has 400 DPI or 6400 DPI. A mouse is only capable of recognizing movement in finite amounts. I don't know the exact number at this point, but let's assume it's 200. The mouse can only recognize it's moving 200 times per inch. Let's say the mouse has 6400 DPI. You move the mouse enough to move it through 50 positions (called mickeys I believe). The 400 DPI mouse moves the cursor 100 'dots' on your screen, but the 6400 DPI mouse moves the cursor 1600 'dots' for the same mouse movement. What did you gain? You gained the ability to use a higher sensitivity.
Most FPS gamers don't use a particularly high sensitivity, so DPI is worthless to them. Contrary to popular belief, a higher DPI does not make the mouse more accurate--in fact, I would argue it does the opposite for most gamers. If you have a mouse with high DPI and you lower your sensitivity from its absolute maximum, you are effectively lowering the DPI of that mouse. DPI is the output of the mouse, not the input.

I mean minimum as in best for using the computer without having to use windows sensitivity. Also a good compromise if you want to try high dpi and normal mouse dpi (since most like this have adjustable DPI). Although it really does depend on preference, 1600 DPI lets me move across one edge of my 1440 width screen to the other in about 2" using default windows sensitivity. Honestly it really is all preference, and so long as your mouse isn't shitty on you and bugging out you can play at any DPI, but 1600 is right where the scaling can work for people with high sens without changing other sensitivities as much. Trivial if you do mess around with other sensitivity settings.
Also, 5400 dpi is kinda hilarious because the mouse moves a lot because of a little movement. I don't think most people need beyond 2k DPI, and most people I know don't get DPI for accuracy (like smaka said).

i'm having trouble following the whole DPI thing, if anyone can clarify something
i use 400 dpi and 2.15 ingame sens. would it be better for me to increase DPI and decrease ingame to get better something-or-other at the same sensitivity, or does it not matter?
always wondered this, so thanks to anyone that can put it in words that a 10 year old can understand

just use your preference, I like to use a dpi that is comfortable to use for my pointer outside of tf2 aswell as in game

Well I dont really think I got my money out of it tbh, since I've had similar priced mice and they worked for longer (powerlogic gmx-5). I wouldnt really buy another one.

I can't explain DPI much better than I did in my first post, but the gist is that higher DPI means higher sensitivity. Whereas you're using 2.15 sensitivity in-game now, you'd have to use 1.075 in-game sensitivity to have roughly the same feeling if you used 800 DPI and all other settings remained the same.
DPI = sensitivity.

higher dpi basically means that for a given measured sensitivity you have more actual directions that you can aim in (higher dpi have a higher base sensitivity for the same resolution as anything else, this is where ingame sens and m_yaw come into play, basic stuff)
so if you have one inch per 360 then a 400 dpi mouse will let you aim in 400 different discrete horizontal directions, a 1600 dpi mouse will let you aim in 1600. yes, it's a dimensional measure, not an area measure, if you get that and needed to know.
the only thing insane high dpi like 3000+ is useful for is playing with insane high sensitivities in games where you have to hit small targets.
for tf2 of all games you do not need more than 1600 unless you're playing sniper with a sensitivity above like 0.5 inches per 360 or some insane shit. getting a better mousepad or better glides for your mouse is a better investment than getting a new version of your original mouse with quadrupel the dpi, as long as you have a decent mouse in the first place.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1811521/awf2d.png
what you should really wonder about in a mouse's sensor is malfunction speed (especially for low sensitivities) and acceleration, jitter, prediction, surface compatibility, etc -- not whether the dpi is 3200.

I suppose that I should update with a bit of a review since the cheaper side of me decided to purchase the mouse: for those who might be curious in the future:
Function:
The mouse works fine at the moment (being brand-new), I can't comment on it's reliability yet, I had a stock mouse earlier, this mouse is able to read much more of my movements better, I notice less jittery movements which I am glad were not based on my internet.
So as far as an upgrade from a bad-mouse; I am quite satisfied without having to have paid more than 20 bucks.
Problems:
The DPI button has no indication on which sensitivity, I am not pressing it on accident so its placement is well enough, but should I want to change it for a different game where I want a higher dpi (up to 1600) for something like Starcraft I have to sort of read the sensitivity by rough testing, it's more familiar now at least.
The LED's are a gimmick, but alright if that floats your boat, it probably wont impress party guests, and sure as hell won't impress people who know what mouses to buy.
The side buttons are both easily programmable, however for those who want more buttons or truly rely on more than one hotkey on a mouse, I would not recommend this mouse, the buttons are hardly distinguishable and can easily be pressed by accident if you specifically want to only press one of them (they are placed adjacent to each other).
If you want to program or go further into personalizing your mouse don't bother with this one unless you understand Chinese, the install is in Chinese and the product is obviously made over there. Unlike really any other higher priced brand you cant navigate through a nice menu and alter settings other than what is provided on the mouse itself.
Conclusion:
All of that said, the mouse design is pretty fluid for movement, It seems to fit me well although I have never had a trouble with mouse sizes before so perhaps I am part of the target hand-size market. Each buttons registers without trouble and the mouse wheel is about as reliable as any stock mouse wheel.
Anyways, just some first impressions, If you want something simple I would recommend this, I wasn't really shocked with any of the downfalls and the mouse translates fine at every level of DPI.

There is a sick-ass insignia of a cobra on the mouse, this insignia will let all the gamers (especially the gurl-gamers) know that you take your games SERIOUSLY but also like to live on the edge. Bring a battery pack with a USB port to school, or one of those small half-breed laptops that cant process shit to power it around, the black and blue LED combo would look great hanging around your neck by the wire with a fine-pressed leather jacket.
