I know valve's standards have fallen for TF2 but god damn this is some special needs shit
fuck these dumb furries but this actually makes me angry, valve fucking ruins pubs in a hundred different small ways that add up to take a lot of the fun out of the whole experience and somehow they can't even keep track of what they've changed.
you took away our ability to play with our friends in valve servers on different teams over a year ago u fucken tit, the changes from quickplay to casual literally made ALL of my casual friends who still regularly played TF2 quit the fucking game for good, some of them came back to try the new pyro weapons but they only played for about a week and now they've stopped again.
on top of that the guy is actually abusing his status as an employee to kick people for playing together in a server in a way that THANKS TO VALVE is the only way they even can

I dunno who this cheddars guy is or what he actually does at valve but fuck him
This kind of thing just feels like a kick in the face from valve, seems like even the people at valve who do still care about TF2 care so fucking little about it and its players that they act this way.

i think the biggest thing we can take from this is that there's someone that works for valve that actually plays the game.

You can see EricS often playing TF2 when he's online on Steam, and Jill regularly plays on his community server (Jill also treats his community server more competitively than a pub if that makes sense, making callouts and playing classes like Medic)

Funnily enough it was when quickplay changed to casual where I no longer could be arsed to play the game, valve pubs were fun to "stomp" in as any classes really and kill time and commit time to the game aside from competitive/practice. After casual there was nothing to kill time with in tf2 that I liked, except surfing sometimes and pugs perhaps and those only were populated during certain part of the day until the night.
Thus I only played a little dm if even that after losing interest and then scrims, sounds gay but I used to warm up/keep my aim up by sniping in valve pubs, it was way more efficient for me than DM. I'd actually prolly play if I could just chill and play whatever class in a valve pub that I could just hop in immediately and not wait minutes to find a casual game and then remember to stop recording a demo and redo the process after 2 rounds i think?
Yea this had nothing to do with the thread necessarily but Adnurak's comment got me thinking about it again.

that dude gets banned and in europe we got the same hacking trash playing every day for years without reprocussions. gg valve you fucking mongs.
why would they even need manual ban powers? they shouldnt ban people based on their own observations when they have a system to do it for them as a matter of principle
snwdrmgod forbid anyone shows him cl_yawspeed
cl_yawspeed 4000, bind [key] +left
Do this after every kill on a tf2 dev. How to get VAC banned without cheating

sageausValve refused to take action and personally ban anybody in fear that giving themselves that power might set a dangerous precedent. Even though i really hated their system I found the fact that they were really against breaking their own rules when it came to it somewhat admirable, even if it might of been necessary.
calls into question if they did that because of laziness and not on principle

Considering 90% of people I see that pubstomp with their friends are always huge dicks about it, I defenitely feel like there's more to the story here
