new mobo, new cpu
cpu is an i5 3470 3.2ghz
still get 60fps but it will spike up and down like a yo-yo
fps is well above 144 when nothings going on but still 60 for gameplay
integrated cpu gfx is off. vsync off
what gives?

bruh why would you get a cpu thats 3 or 4 generations behind? ddr3 is dead and theres like no upgrade path unless the mobo is upgradeable to haswell, but even then 1 generation upgrade isn't worth it. are you using a config? also are you aiming for nothing below 144 or just 60?
nothing below 144. damn is the 3470k sucky? i thought it should run tf2 like a dream u kidding me
yea im also using a config
if ur on windows 10, make sure you've got all the xbox related stuff turned off and uninstalled, dvr, etc
The 3470k is just ancient, it's not a bad cpu. what gpu are you running? are all your drivers up to date?
It may be 3470K bottle-necking, I think the 3770K would have been the better choice if you were going for Ivy Bridgey.
if u mean tf2 do fps_max in console it might be set at 60
increase it
my drivers are all up to date. gpu is a radeon r9 280. no my fps doesnt drop below 60.
yo someone give me an i7 and youll never see a shitpost again lamo
