So I updated to the most recent nvidia drivers for my gtx660m, and now in tf2, some of the surfaces are constantly flashing, and I have no idea what's wrong.
Is it a problem w/ the new drivers, and how do I roll them back to the old ones to get rid of this?

uninstall your current version of your nvidia drivers
re-download the old version of your drivers
install them
voilà

dx8 is superior in every way to dx9 so it will pain me when i eventually have to update my drivers and move to dx9

I installed new drivers yesterday and i haven't noticed any bug whatsoever, but i've seen people streaming and they still have flashing textures. Just try it yourself, i guess

Sucked it up and installed 314.07, problem persists under Chris's maxframes, dx8. dx9 for now I suppose.

Why is dx8 better than dx9? Not trying to be cheeky, I'm genuinely curious.
