In a completely shocking turn of events, froyotech will be taking on Ascent in the Upper Bracket Final of ESEA S26!
froyotech finished the regular season undefeated, and kept that streak going in the first round of the playoffs last week, going 10-1 over 2 maps against Velocity Gaming. Ascent went 13-3 in the regular season, including 2 5-0 losses against froyotech on Granary and Snakewater. Ascent had a close match against SVIFT NA in their matchup last week, narrowly winning Snakewater before getting rolled on Product. This left the teams with a deciding match on Sunshine, which Ascent took in a convincing 5-1 fashion.
Maps will be Process (FROYO), Gullywash (Ascent) and Granary for a decider. FROYO and Ascent haven’t played on Process or Gullywash this season, but if the series goes to Granary, we can expect froyotech to take it based on the earlier results of the season (assuming Ascent was trying of course).
Casters will be Dreamboat and Marxist, with Console on production. Best of luck to both teams!
