If you look at pyrocynicals review on youtube 2017 he explains it pretty well. seems that youtube tries to feature the "most popular safe entertainers." yes i know jake and logan paul were then but this rewind was all either through money or playing it safe hence why pewdiepie was not in this year

muselk is in it but none of the people who farmed him in both tf2 and overwatch, okay

prob because muselk has over 2 million subs and produces content featuring games that are culturally relevant (his channel pretty much exploded once he started making overwatch videos). not to mention a lot of TF2/OW pros aren't really active on youtube.

It failed to do justice to a lot of things, over emphasized things that weren't all that big in reality
