if i use 4:3 stretched would it change it
this guy says it does and has a fix apparently but im not quite sure about it
is there an fps difference between 4:3 stretched and 4:3 blackbars
also,
thanks

no
your inches per 360 stay the same no matter the res
you can test it yourself in a corner. Proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWpL5QVjOdg&feature=youtu.be
the reason it feels faster with 4:3 is because the the "squares" that made up your view got stretched to rectangles on the horizontal.
edit:there shouldn't be any significant fps difference between the two.
Another way of thinking of it is that default yaw keeps your mouse movements have the same angle movements (or cm/360), changing the yaw makes your mouse movements be the same number of pixels. Stretching itself doesn't change your sens, but you might like to change your sens to "counteract" the stretching. It's all personal preference which one you like more.
This obviously doesn't apply to black bars and you should always use default yaw when you're not stretched. And any fps comparisons I've seen were tossups well within margin of error, it does not matter for fps.

so would changing the yaw to make it the same number of pixles lower the cm/360?

Yes. You can have either one be the same as non-stretched, but not both.
guess i'll have black bars once i figure out how :x
That I have tried, ye obviously the sens is the same, but say if you're looking for "wider hitboxes" from using 4:3, it's just that while the characters look "wider" your mouse movement horizontally feels faster, meaning again you don't get any benefit from 4:3 unless it's your preference.
Pointing out as many ppl think using 4:3 res = bigger hitboxes =>easier to hit em, no.

i mean they're physically bigger on your screen, and you can lower your sense (or m_yaw) to make your mouse move slower so yeah, using 4:3 makes sense (if you can stand the horizontal fov decrease)

But doesn’t the crosshair also get bigger? (aka stretched)
You should all use 70 fov for bigger hitboxes. All prem and invite scouts do this, but they desperately want to keep it top secret so the plebeians cannot share their power of 70% scattergun accuracy. But I can be silent no longer; the guilt is eating away at my conscience, and I will surely go mad if I continue to be party to this foul conspiracy. Be sure to spread the word, doubtless the powers that be will not allow this post to remain up for long. Also I am not feeling suicidal, so if I shortly turn up dead in suspicious circumstances it is most assuredly foul play. Stay safe out there gamers.
scrab so the plebeians cannot share their power of 70% scattergun accuracy.
He's still hiding something. scrab is more of an 80% accuracy player; there are still secrets to be revealed.
