but after recording the movie there is nothing in my /Team Fortress 2/ folder.
the list of codecs didnt show too

If you've got a pov demo and just want it so you can watch it on youtube you can use this site: http://www.igmdb.org/?page=render
It uploads it publicly to their own channel but it's easier than messing around with any programs yourself

okay. I got the old method of the reddit post to work and it succesfully converted the thing to mp4 which is great. is there a way to raise the quality of this clip?

jnu, save yourself the hassle and pay the 10$ or whatever it is to get the premium perks at http://www.igmdb.org/?page=render . It's insanely high quality and all you have to do is upload the demo. It worked great for me years ago when I was running on an old mac. I'm as cheap as it gets, but if you want high quality, just bite the bullet and pay. The options from the IGMDB service are great (resolution, framerate, huds, blah blah)
