incredible mind, wish he could stay with us longer

Dude was told he had 2 years to live at age 21, but kept kicking until he was 76. Impressive
It's a shame but, I think he lived a very fulfilling life. He got an illness that usually kills most people in an incredibly short time, and then he lived out to a pretty healthy and average lifespan. All while being one of the most famous scientists of all-time, a person that was an inspiration and got so many others interested in science.
I have nothing but respect for him, I don't think history will ever forget this man.

His incredible achievements in modern physics have forever changed the field. His body may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.
To think that at the end he communicated using a single muscle in his cheek, yet still managed to accomplish so much.
No physicist has gripped me the way Hawking has and his sheer influence on the world is hard to deny, he became the face of all of science in so many ways.
He was so awe inspiring in so many different ways and really sparked many people's love of physics, including my own.

now we can finally figure out if he's actually smart or if it was that magical talking chair the whole time

If you haven't seen Life Itself it's a pretty great film dramatization about Hawking's life

I view his political activity as inseparable from the rest of his life (and it kicked ass)

You're a fucking retard
Don't derail this thread by arguing with him. Not responding is the best course of action.
Hawking was one of the greatest minds in human history. He also happened to overcome a lot of personal and health problems along the way. Lots of respect for this man, humanity will miss him greatly and reflect on his genius for a very long time.

Some dude on r/tf2 made this https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/84c00g/stephen_hawking_dies_at_76_rip/?st=JER6PR6C&sh=bd8c0f3c
One of the greatest minds of the 21st century and a true role model for future generations to look up to. Someone who didn't give up and kept doing his own thing until the very end is definitely a hero for the ages.
Hawking overcoming adversity for the greater good of mankind is incredibly inspiring, his legacy and impact will live on for centuries. RIP Dr. Hawking :(
